The Best Emulators on Android!

Hi all, here is my take on the best emulators for Android.

I firmly believe that the Android OS is the absolute best way to play retro games as the apps are easy to use, work great and are very convenient!

The Best Emulators on Android!

hey everyone miss Teresa Gino here today to talk to you about the absolute best way to emulate retro video game systems if you have an Android device you are in luck I believe it's the easiest the most versatile and the best way to emulate so if you have an iPhone you're completely out of luck I have no idea how to get emulators working on it you can but I think it involves jailbreaking but I'm not an iPhone user so sorry but if you have an Android if you have a cell phone if you have a tablet if you have a TV box might as well stay tuned I believe this is the best way it's so much fun you can play emulators you know on the train on a bus waiting in an airport waiting in the doctor's office really wherever you are and it doesn't require much effort at all most of the emulators are available right on the Play Store they require very little configuration to get working some of them like for example the SNES ones don't even really require any configuration they just work and it works well it works easier than getting them to work on the PC so if you have an Android device if it's a little older you can still emulate on it as well you might meet just need to turn on frame skipping on some of the more advanced emulators but generally as a whole they work right out of the box and also you probably don't even need a Bluetooth controller if you're just using NES or gameboy games once with you know just two buttons or even like old Atari games or whatever those are generally fine without a Bluetooth controller but as soon as you get into the more advanced control settings so for example like a Super Nintendo PlayStation 1 PSP Dreamcast n64 if you're using those emulators might want to invest in a Bluetooth controller and I say this because they're super easy they're not very expensive all you have to do is pair it the games usually recognize it or the emulators apologies usually recognize it and on top of that if you're worried about battery life these phones can usually go longer than you know a Nintendo DS or a PSP because all you need is an external battery pack so you just hook this up via microUSB to your phone and you're good to go you can game for hours so I've game before on a plane on an eight-hour plane and I probably game for about six hours of it and still have 100% full battery because I was just using an external battery to power my phone super easy super great super convenient so let's get started and I'll walk you through my favorite emulator apps alright everyone here is my desktop view so this is actually before I get started I would like to mention that these apps will work differently on your phone depending what brand you have for example if you've got an LG or an HTC or an older galaxy or a newer galaxy or tablet there are all different processors in their different Ram all that stuff so try what works for you and if one app doesn't work just try another one and see what works best but these work from a reference point on a galaxy s5 very well so this is the nes emulator that i like to use it is nostalgia nes it works very well and it works easy right out of the hand out of the box you just install it and usually good to go this one's free my old boy is very good for a gameboy color it's five dollars and twelve cents there is a free version but the free version has ads and generally my rule of thumb is if I like the emulator and I'm going to be using it quite a bit I'll buy it I'll that avoids you know having the ads and it also supports the developers I mean the developers work pretty hard on these to get them working they continually update them to get bugs fixed and on top of that you know it's their time they don't have to do it and I really like to support them I am a big advocate for retro gaming and this is a great way to help out and you so when when you get to enjoy the emulator ad-free so this is my old boy it works very good for a Game Boy and Game Boy Color my boy made by the same guys I believe it's a gameboy advanced emulator so this is the gameboy color this is gameboy advanced this one 648 again there's a free version that has ads but this is the best one I believe for Gameboy Advance simulation for Genesis there is Genesis and D or G gens MD this one works really well for both the three button and six button control style games I highly recommend this one and it's free this is one of my favorite emulators out of all of them not just SNES just in general it's John SNES this emulator works extremely extremely well it's $2.99 it's very inexpensive and this guy works hard to make it work well with all phones SNe X 9x e X plus I found has a bit of input lag but the John SNES silly name John SNES but this one works extremely well I really like it ppsspp gold there's also the regular ppsspp this is a PPP PSP emulator this one works really well I recommend the paid version of it I honestly don't even know what the difference is between the two I think this one just has no ads to it either way you're helping out the developer this one works really well and I played a little big planet and also Street Fighter Alpha 3 with this one mega n64 this one is free and this is stimulate the n64 this one works very well EPS xe4 android so this is a PlayStation 1 emulator it works extremely well it's 425 I have noticed one minor issue and that is when it's trying to recognize my Bluetooth controller I have to go into preferences and change my control settings my control input it defaults to and log and I have to change it to digital and once attention once I change it to digital the controls work just fine raycast sorry cast or however you want to say it this emulator is great for Dreamcast games it will it won't work very well on older devices but on newer devices it works very well I've noticed that this one the Google Play Store app actually does not work on my phone it struggles mightily and all I'm trying to do is emulate Street Fighter third strike and Capcom vs. SNK 2 the Dreamcast it doesn't work very well I have to actually go to the recast website I go into the unsupported builds and you can actually just get here from build Street cast calm and I just download one of these apks and manually load it on my phone so these are safe they're virus free but these are their warning because they're bleeding edge so sometimes they might crash or might not even run that being said the one I have is bulletproof it works very well for my phone I'm not going to tell you which version it is because every phone is different if you do how actually will tell you if you have a Galaxy s5 I found that this version right here works very well I haven't tried the newer ones yet this one is actually just recently released at the end of November so I might try this one out and see how it works but right now I'm down here on this version lastly if you want a one-stop shop for all emulators I don't really recommend this one because it is a bit of a pain to set up it's time consuming and I found that the apps don't perform as well as the individual apps do but if you want just a one-stop shop one application for all your apps get retroarch I would highly recommend looking at a youtube video to go over the setup through this because it it's a little time consuming if you're you know tech-savvy then it's not a big deal at all but if you're not very tech savvy just take a look at a YouTube video and and you're off to the races now that does it for the emulators that I use and recommend there are more emulators out there just go in the Play Store try it out if it doesn't work on install it and try another one that's all I've got today if you've got any questions feel free to leave them in the comments please note that these are just emulators they do not include the roms you'll have to manually load the realms on your phone in the first place or whatever device you're using alright that's all I gots mr.
