BIAS LIGHT behind PC Gaming Monitor CUSTOM BUILT desk lamp tv woodworking electronics build

this is gonna be a custom light build it's all from scrap parts scrap cable scrap light socket and a scraps which took some half-inch medium density fiberboard cut two little squares now I take this forcing our drill bit I'm gonna drill some holes right in the center so I trimmed that back a little bit and that's what's going to use to mount it to the wooden base now I'm gonna cut a hole for this switch so I drilled the pilot hole and the pilot hole allows me to insert the blade of the jigsaw to cut out the little square I use some files to sand down the edges to get a nice perfect flush fit for the switch now I'm going to use this router to cut out little channels for the wires here's the finished cutout routed channels and I screwed it together on four corners I'm gonna glue this bottle cap to the top of the light bulb using a black sharpie marker and blacking out the white parts of the bulb also the edges of these gripper pads and also the ceramic of the light socket so I soldered everything now I'm going to put some heat shrink tubing over the connections [Applause] [Applause] the reason for the bottle cap is to direct the light right around here instead of shining straight up to the ceiling and this is what's known as a bias light it's behind my computer monitor and it making it helps your eyes not be strained from the light kind of evens out the brightness it's very satisfying to build something from scratch even if it's very simple and it ends up costing zero dollars made always scrap parts
